My gorgeous nephew, Dawson, was in town this weekend with his parents as they wrapped up their move to Memphis. I took advantage of 30 minutes he had free to sneak in a one-year photo shoot. As always, he was a great sport, a total ham, and the darling baby model he always is! I’m posting lots of shots, but how could I leave any of these out??
The youth department of the First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs, led by the leadership of youth pastor Billy Johnson, puts on an awesome, anointed Counterpoint service one Friday night a month. This month’s Counterpoint promised to be incredible with special guest worship leader and my friend, Johnathan Dean. I had the blessed opportunity to do some photography for the service, and enjoyed myself thoroughly in this shooting environment completely new to me.

Talk about fun! I usually work alone, but this day I invited my mother-in-law to-be along, and we had a blast with Claire and company! These are some great girls. Flanked by Claire’s mother and sister, we spent almost 4 hours traversing the grounds of Hemingbough in St. Francisville, Louisiana. Between dodging the rain and swapping out veils, we stayed plenty busy, but had a fabulous time and got lots of great photos.
With my longtime friend, Mandy’s upcoming wedding, I was provided plenty of opportunities for photography….a bridal session during our bridesmaids beach trip, an engagement shoot with her former-photographer-himself fiancee, and another bridal session back in Baton Rouge. The beach shoot was a blast! With a storm blowing in on us, we were running around and shooting like rapidfire, trying to get in a couple of good shots before the clouds and rain converged on us. To date, this couple has been one of the most fun to shoot! From the moment we met up, Nathaniel kept us in fits with his Metairiean sense of humor, and Claire was her usual gracious self. Nathaniel, you are getting a perfect lady, and Claire, you a wonderful gentleman. Good luck, you guys!

Mandy & Richard’s engagement shoot was a Friday afternoon, post-workday shoot, so we all went into it a little exhausted. I stayed in their faces, but they were great sports, and we got some amazing shots. We even had time for a mini-shoot of Richard’s daughter, Madeline. Thanks guys, for giving me some great faces to frame!
